Collection: Organic Worm Castings

Not all worm castings are the same!

Ours are truly clean and meet 2 organic label standards. Not everyone can claim this. This is because our worms are clean eating little invertebrates! There are no chemical byproducts, no garbage, no GMOs, glyphosate, urea, antibiotics, or hormones fed to the worms. Therefore the castings are clean AND organic.

Think about this:

1. Worms are what they eat...

2. Your veggies are what THEY eat, and...

3. YOU are what YOU eat. Make sure everyone in that chain of consumption is eating clean!

For those unfamiliar with what worm castings are, the following is a description:

Vermicompost (vermi-compost) is the product of the decomposition process using various species of worms, usually red wigglers, white worms, and other earthworms, to create a mixture of decomposing vegetable or food waste, bedding materials, and vermicast. This process is called vermicomposting, while the rearing of worms for this purpose is called vermiculture.

Vermicast (also called worm castings, worm humus, worm manure, or worm feces) is the end-product of the breakdown of organic matter by earthworms. These castings have been shown to contain reduced levels of contaminants and a higher saturation of nutrients than the organic materials before vermicomposting.

Vermicompost contains water-soluble nutrients and is an excellent, nutrient-rich organic fertilizer and soil conditioner. It is used in gardening and sustainable, organic farming.
